Will Levis, Tennessee Titans reach deal on four-year contract

New Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon continues to make some moves this offseason. The AFC South franchise has their second-round pick locked in.
Kentucky quarterback Will Levis fell into the second round at the 2023 NFL Draft, and the Titans did not waste any time when the former Penn State transfer became available. Tennessee traded up to No. 33 overall and selected Levis.
Veteran Ryan Tannehill is back in Nashville for his fifth season and should open the 2023 season as a starter. Carthon just agreed to a deal with star wideout DeAndre Hopkins signaling that this organization still believes they are a contender in the AFC South despite losing seven consecutive games to end the 2022 campaign with an aging roster.
However, NFL teams are always building for the future. The Titans have reached a deal with Levis that will last four seasons, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

In training camp, Levis will battle with second-year pro Malik Willis for the QB2 job for head coach Mike Vrabel. However, there could be a chance to start games in 2023. Tannehill has dealt with injuries for most of his pro career, and the Titans could decide to get young sooner rather than later if losses begin to pile up.
Levis threw for 5,232 yards and 46 touchdowns in 24 career starts for Kentucky. Interceptions (25) were an issue, but the 24-year-old QB can provide some run game value when healthy. Levis has had an up-and-down offseason, but the path to early playing time with a competent franchise is on the table.
Now that the contract is locked in, Will Levis is not far away from being a QB1 for an NFL franchise.
