Former UK basketball star Winston Bennett was fired from his state job on November 15, but a reason was not given. Bennett had only held the job for a little over two months, so something obviously took a sudden turn for the worse.

Now we know that something.

According to the Courier-Journal, Bennett was removed from his position on Governor Bevin’s cabinet after it was discovered Bennett sent inappropriate e-mails to women on the cabinet, including some of his subordinates.

In one email Bennett told a cabinet employee she was “Too hot to trot. Especially on those skirt and dress days, lips stick matching. Lord have mercy. LOL!!! Not too old by a long shot.”

He regularly referred to another woman as “Princess.”

He told another, “I just want to say you are a wonderful lady and I enjoy speaking with you. I also want to say you look very nice today. I hope my saying this does not mess up your shape, kind like eating a cup cake. You are very impressionable. Have a wonderful day.” [Courier-Journal]

Bennett was the director of the Labor Cabinet’s Division of Apprenticeship.

He admitted to battling sex addiction in his biography back in 2013, and it cost him his job with the Boston Celtics under Rick Pitino.
