Wyoming DT transfer Jaden Williams commits to Kentucky

Make that three transfer portal commits in one day for the Wildcats.
On Friday night, Wyoming defensive tackle transfer Jaden Williams announced his commitment to Kentucky. After visiting UK earlier this week, he becomes the 11th portal addition of the offseason for the Wildcats. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle had 20 tackles, 1.5 for loss, a half-sack, and three QB hurries for the Cowboys this past season across 12 games played.
Williams, who has two years of eligibility remaining, was scheduled to visit Georgia this weekend after picking up an offer from the Bulldogs earlier this week, but Kentucky was able to lock him up before that trip could happen. Kansas State and Arizona State also offered the native of California.
A mostly unknown recruit out of high school, Williams committed to Wyoming in Dec. 2021 over Nevada and UNLV, appearing in just eight games across his first two seasons, which included a redshirt year as a freshman. But he made his impact known as a junior in 2024 throughout the Mountain West. Pro Football Focus ranked him as a Top 10 defensive tackle in the conference this past season.
