Just an hour before Wood made his decision, Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow teased that he felt “some dice about to roll” and, of course, the Big Dog came through. Wood boasts impressive size for an offensive lineman and has stood out at recent camps. He is the first commit under Kentucky’s new offensive line coach, Zach Yesner, although Marrow has been the primary recruiter throughout the process.
Wood has long been connected to UK, taking multiple camp trips and unofficial visits over the last year. As a native of Richmond, the proximity to his family played a role in his decision to make Lexington his next home.
Welcome to the BBN, Malachi!
