While this may be the last season for some of our favorite shows (e.g. Parenthood, Parks and Recreation, Boardwalk Empire- to name a few), this winter season networks are introducing some original soon-to-be favorites. Be prepared to add some space on your DVR.

E!:

The Royals- Premieres Sunday, Mar. 15 at 10:00pm ET

E!’s first ever scripted series will reign high for royal watchers, like myself. The plot explores the lives of a fictional British royal family (Elizabeth Hurley as Queen!) from behind the palace gates complete with plenty of headline-making scandals. Maybe it’s not too fictionalized after all?

Netflix:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schimidt— Premieres Thursday, Mar. 5 at 12:00am

Any Tina Fey show will surely be a hit even with the quirky plot. Starring The Office’s Ellie Kemper, Kimmy escapes from a doomsday cult and moves to New York City to begin a new life. With friends of Tina making cameos, it’s sure to be added to your binge-watching list and- P.S.  it is already picked up for season 2.

Better Call Saul— Premieres Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10:00pm ET

Breaking Bad’s prequel is sure to be another ratings darling. It backs up the story six years into Saul’s career as a criminal attorney when he was known as Jimmy McGill. It is only a matter of episodes before cameos of Walt and Jesse are (hopefully) added into the mix. Prepare for another TV legend.
