Kentucky will likely add an offensive line transfer or two this offseason. Notre Dame super senior transfer Zeke Correll looked like a potential top target for the Wildcats. The Cincinnati (Ohio) Anderson product ended his recruitment on Saturday.

Lexington will not be the destination. Zeke Correll will be spending his final season of college football in the ACC playing for NC State.

Zeke Correll was a top-100 recruit in the class of 2019 out of Cincinnati (Ohio) Anderson. The interior offensive line prospect was the No. 3 overall recruit in Ohio. After starting six games in 2021, Correll became a full-time starter in 2022. During his career in South Bend, the offensive lineman played in 40 games for the Fighting Irish with 31 starts at center. After starting all 13 games in 2022, Correll missed time in November this season with a concussion.

Ray Correll, Zeke’s grandfather, was an All-American at Kentucky who played for Bear Bryant from 1951-53. Steve Correll, Zeke’s father, played for Kentucky in the 1970s. Gabe Correll, Zeke’s older brother, played for Rich Brooks and Joker Phillips at Kentucky from 2008-12.

However, there did not appear to be a clear spot for Zeke Correll at Kentucky. With Eli Cox returning for his super senior season, the Wildcats have all three returning starters at guard-center-guard and will get former Ohio State transfer Ben Christman back from injury. Kentucky is choosing continuity at center after making a midseason change at the position in 2022.

Zeke Correll will head to Raleigh and play an integral role in Dave Doeren‘s NC State offense.
