Overtime Elite continues to load up on high-end talent as the professional league is about to embark on its second season this fall.

After adding the likes of four-star ’23 PG Treymane Parker, four-star ’23 Stanford commit Kanaan Carlyle, ’25 PF Bryson Tiller (a future five-star prospect), and four-star ’24 SF Jahki Howard earlier this week, Overtime Elite has added another pair of notable high school prospects, one of them with a previous connection to the Wildcats.

ZZ Clark, the younger brother of former Kentucky men’s basketball commit Skyy Clark, was announced as one of the two latest signees for Overtime Elite on Wednesday morning. ZZ Clark is a 6-foot-2, class of 2024 point guard who committed to Illinois — where Skyy Clark is currently enrolled as a freshman — in April.

Overtime Elite also signed three-star ’23 SF Tyler Bey on Wednesday.

Overtime Elite (OTE) is an Atlanta-based sports league that compensates athletes with a base pay of $100,000 per year plus bonuses and a share in the company’s equity. There are just three teams across the league as of right now. OTE also provides an educational program that is meant to supplement the traditional high school curriculum. Investors include plenty of NBA players along with the likes of Drake and Jeff Bezos. State Farm, Gatorade, and Meta Quest are three of OTE’s major sponsors.

ZZ Clark spent his sophomore season at Windermere Prep in Orlando, Florida where he averaged 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest.

“If you’ve seen ZZ play, you know he’s an electric playmaker in the open court,” said Tim Fuller, OTE Vice President of Recruiting and Player Personnel.  “His unparalleled discipline makes him a true floor general, and the competition in our program is going to help maximize his potential to be a lockdown defender.

“ZZ is joining a group of elite ball handlers at OTE and I’m excited to see him thrive in our league,” said Kevin Ollie, OTE Head Coach and Director of Player Development. “He’ll be pushed daily to be the best playmaker, and I’m looking forward to seeing his confidence on the court translate into competition.”

OTE has been generating plenty of hype coming off its successful inaugural season in 2021-22. Back in the spring, the league signed a five-star wing from the ’24 class in Naasir Cunningham, who accepted the scholarship option. Four-star Michigan State ’23 commit, Jeremey Fears, is reportedly set to join soon. The idea will be to get these kids to stick with Overtime Elite and forgo college altogether. More additions will likely be on the way.
