BREAKING: LSU hires Kelvin Bolden away from Ole Miss

LSU has hired away Ole Miss Coordinator of Recruiting Strategy Kelvin Bolden for an elevated role with the Tigers, sources tell The Bengal Tiger staff.
Bolden will serve as LSU Football’s Assistant General Manager, sources said.
Multiple other hires and internal movement are still expected given the recent departure of a handful of off-field staff members in Baton Rouge.
The Rebels hired Bolden in March 2022, and the Mississippi native has been on staff in Oxford since.

The hire by LSU reunites Senior Associate Athletic Director for Football Administration Austin Thomas with Bolden, who he helped bring to Ole Miss during his two seasons as the program’s Football Chief of Staff and Sport Administrator.
Prior to his stint with the Rebels, Bolden worked for UCF and head coach Gus Malzahn as the program’s wide receiver assistant coach and Director of Recruiting Relations. Bolden worked under Dan Mullen at Florida in 2021 as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel, and his stop in Gainesville followed up two years at Arkansas as a Graduate Assistant in the wide receivers room in both 2018 and 2019.
The Perkinston High (Miss.) graduate is one of the more well-known homegrown athletes in the Magnolia State across the past two decades. At Southern Miss, Bolden logged 104 career catches for 1,393 yards and 13 touchdowns.
