On Thursday afternoon, LSU Football reeled in a commitment from an On3 Top 15 offensive tackle prospect and another Top 150 recruit in 4-star Emanuel Tucker.

The LSU Football staff has been trending for the On3 Top 150 prospect leading up to “Decision Day”, and now the Mississippi native’s reveal gives the Tigers another key piece to a recruiting class that has been jockeying for the No. 1 spot in the On3 Industry Team Football Recruiting Rankings this offseason.

Tucker made the reveal on the On3 Recruits YouTube page with Josh Newberg, where he picked LSU over Ole Miss during a ceremony at New Albany High School in Mississippi.

The one-time Mississippi State commitment made visits to both campuses over the past two weekends, but it was the official visit weekend in Baton Rouge that clearly helped win out for LSU.

Tucker is the third offensive line commitment for LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis. LSU has a pair of Louisiana offensive linemen on board already in 3-star Jalan Chapman and 4-star Brysten Martinez.

The On3 RPM had trended towards LSU for Tucker

This past weekend, LSU Football hosted three prospects for official visits – one of them being Emanuel Tucker.

Once the official visit weekend was complete, a trio of On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) picks were made for Tucker in favor of LSU.

Tucker was committed to Mississippi State before reopening his process more than a week ago, and he followed up a visit to Ole Miss with a multi-night stay in Baton Rouge this past weekend.

With his parents alongside him, the 6-foot-7 offensive tackle prospect’s weekend spent on LSU’s campus was one that has the Tigers firmly out front in his recruitment, sources tell The Bengal Tiger staff.

On Monday morning, I entered my On3 RPM pick for Tucker to land at LSU, and the prediction comes with a confidence score set at 75%. Over the past 24 hours, On3 RPM picks also came in from a pair of national recruiting experts in Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong.

The picks in favor of LSU come on the heels of Tucker changing up his timeline for the reveal of his college choice while on campus in Baton Rouge.

Initially, the 4-star and On3 Top 15 offensive tackle prospect will announce his commitment to a school on Friday, June 13. Then, he pushed it up one day to announce on Thursday.

With Tucker choosing LSU, it marks the second year in a row the program landed a commitment from Mississippi’s top-ranked offensive lineman.

The Tigers signed 4-star Tyler Miller out of Laurel in December, and LSU currently has Mississippi’s No. 1 overall prospect committed in 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys.

Tucker is ranked by On3 as the No. 14 offensive tackle prospect in the 2026 class, checking in as the No. 146 overall prospect in the country, regardless of position. Tucker is ranked as the No. 203 overall prospect and No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

LSU Football’s push for the No. 1 class continues

LSU and Southern Cal have both held the No. 1 spot on the 2026 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings at multiple points this offseason.

With double-digit commitments in for the 2026 cycle, the Tigers inched even closer to USC to retake the No. 1 spot in the recruiting rankings.

LSU’s class is headlined by 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, who checks in as the No. 1 wide receiver on the On3 Industry Rankings and a Top 5 overall prospect in the class, regardless of position. The Tigers also have two Louisiana 4-star prospects committed at wide receiver in Jabari Mack and Kenny Darby.

LSU also has the No. 1 defensive lineman committed in New Orleans 5-star Richard Anderson, as well as his teammate in Edna Karr 4-star safety and Top 100 prospect Aiden Hall.

With LSU cornerback commit Havon Finney Jr. checking in as the No. 6 cornerback prospect and No. 62 overall prospect in the 2026 class, the Tigers have commitments in from five Top 100 prospects.

In total, nine of LSU’s 10 commitments for the 2026 cycle are ranked as not just On300 prospects nationally, but inside the Top 200 on the On3 Rankings.
