ESPN’s College Gameday crew is headed to Tuscaloosa for LSU’s SEC West clash against Alabama as the Tigers look to assert themselves as the division favorite.

During this Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay show, host Rece Davis announced that GameDay will be in Tuscaloosa next weekend.

The rivalry game between Alabama and LSU is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CT and will be televised by CBS. Both teams are on a bye this weekend and will have an extra week to prepare for the huge matchup.

The means Nick Saban and his defensive staff will have time to prepare for LSU’s impressive offense. The Tigers lead the SEC in total offense entering their bye week.

“We played against him last year,” Saban said on Thursday during Hey Coach!. “First of all, the guy is an outstanding athlete. He’s a dual-threat quarterback. He can run, he can make you miss, he can extend plays, and he’s a really good passer. And they have really good skill guys on offense.”

LSU head coach Brian Kelly is high on his offense, as you’d expect, which is led by Heisman Trophy contending quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“You know, the offensive efficiency is one where you look towards one guy and then somebody else steps up,” explained Kelly. “Last week, Brian Thomas didn’t have but one or two catches I think. And then, you know, obviously has an explosive night tonight. So we just have so many different options and so many different weapons.

“So, I just think it’s, you know, again, we’re going to take advantage of our athletes in space against, you know, what you give us in terms of coverage, and if you could play a lot of cover 2 we’re gonna run the football and we’re gonna push the ball down the field vertically.”
