DL Sydir Mitchell is no longer with the LSU Football team

LSU’s Sydir Mitchell was with the Tigers through fall camp, but after two games, the transfer portal addition is no longer with the program, sources tell The Bengal Tiger staff.
Mitchell is no longer listed on the LSU Football roster.
Through two games against Clemson and Louisiana Tech, Mitchell had not seen any snaps on the defensive line. In that span, the Tigers played seven other defensive linemen as part of the rotation at the two spots on the interior of the line.
Mitchell transferred to LSU from Texas in December. At the time, LSU’s defensive line coach was Bo Davis, who had initially signed Mitchell while on staff at Texas. When Davis made the move to LSU, Mitchell ultimately followed through the Transfer Portal.
This offseason, Davis took the defensive line job with the New Orleans Saints, and the Tigers brought in longtime NFL veteran and former LSU star Kyle Williams to coach the interior of the defensive line for the 2025 season.
With Mitchell not seeing action in the first two games of the season, and now removed from the team’s online roster, the Lone Star Star native is on the move, again.

He was the No. 233 overall prospect, the No. 26 defensive lineman, and the No. 4 player in New Jersey.
