Angel Reese is adding another major milestone to her already impressive resume.

The former LSU women’s basketball star and current Chicago Sky forward has been named the WNBA cover athlete for NBA 2K26, becoming the latest standout to be featured in the popular video game franchise. Reese follows two-time MVP A’ja Wilson, who graced last year’s WNBA cover.

Now in her second season with the Sky, Reese has wasted no time making her mark at the next level. After being selected No. 7 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, she quickly emerged as one of the league’s top young players. She earned All-Rookie Team honors, was named a WNBA All-Star in each of her first two seasons, and led the league in rebounding as a rookie.

A dominant presence in the paint, Reese has brought the same energy, effort and production to Chicago that LSU fans watched during her unforgettable run in Baton Rouge.

Of course, her impact at LSU remains iconic. Reese helped guide the Tigers to a historic 2023 NCAA national championship, becoming one of the most recognizable faces in college basketball. Her blend of defensive toughness, relentless rebounding and scoring around the rim helped transform LSU into a national powerhouse under head coach Kim Mulkey.

Now, with a WNBA cover selection to her name, Reese is continuing to elevate her game—and her brand.

She’s not the only cover athlete for the video game this year.

NBA champion and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will grace the cover of the game while Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony will be on the “Superstar Edition” and Reese on the “WNBA Edition.”

NBA 2K26 can be pre-ordered now and will be released on Sept. 5.
