From LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the offense’s struggles to a solid effort from the defense, the Tigers came up on the short end of the Top 15 matchup with Ole Miss on Saturday night.

  1. No. 4 LSU battled No. 11 Ole Miss for the 114th time in series history, with LSU falling 24-19 in Oxford.
  2. The loss snapped LSU’s seven-game winning streak, the longest under Brian Kelly.
    • It was LSU’s longest streak since the 16-game run from 2018–19, capped with the 2020 CFP National Championship.

    • Only Tommy Hodson (9,115) and Joe Burrow (8,565) are ahead.
  2. Freshman RB Harlem Berry led LSU in rushing with 7 carries for 22 yards and his first career TD.
  3. WR Barion Brown was the team’s top receiver with 5 catches for 40 yards.
  4. Nussmeier hit WR Nic Anderson for a 7-yard TD in the first quarter.
