Gameday status: Will LSU have WR Nic Anderson vs. Clemson?

The status of wide receiver Nic Anderson remained in flux throughout the month of August, as the star transfer from Oklahoma was looking to breakthrough at LSU. After missing virtually the entire 2024 season for the Sooners due to a quadricep injury, Anderson was limited in the spring at LSU and then in the fall worked with the second team offense for most of the month.
On Saturday evening, before LSU’s game against Clemson, Anderson was suited up and going through warm-ups at full speed. It’s unclear how much he plays but he’s ready and available.
Anderson throughout the offseason is someone LSU is excited about, now we get to see how impactful he can be in the season opener. Here’s LSU offensive coordinator Joe Sloan’s quote on Anderson from the fall camp.

“You’ve seen him on the outside. I think he’s had a really good camp. Obviously, the first couple days, he was still going through some protocol and all that. I think he’s had an extremely good camp. I couldn’t be more excited about the way he’s prepared and the consistency at which he’s played every day,” Sloan said.
