The Southeastern Conference revealed the 2025 scheduling format for football programs, the league announced on Wednesday. LSU flips locations with its 2024 SEC opponents.

LSU will host Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina and Texas A&M in Tiger Stadium in 2025 and will travel to face Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.

Schools will play the same opponents in 2025 that they are scheduled to play in 2024, with sites changed for equal home and away competition over the course of the two seasons.  The 2024 season is the first in which Oklahoma and Texas will compete in the SEC.

“We continue to monitor changes across college sports as they relate to future scheduling,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling.”

The full schedule of dates of games for the 2025 football season will be announced at a later time.

The 2025 schedule format was approved by a vote of the SEC Presidents and Chancellors last week following a recommendation from the league’s Athletics Directors.

The 2025 season will be the second year that the SEC Championship Game will feature the top two teams in the 16-team Conference standings at the end of the regular season. Beginning with the 2024 season, the SEC will eliminate divisional standings.

LSU’s non-conference games in 2025 has the Tigers traveling to face Clemson on August 30 followed by home games against Louisiana Tech on September 6 and Western Kentucky on November 22.

Entering Year 3, LSU head coach Brian Kelly feels everyone is more comfortable with the standards and the expectations of his program. In an interview with On3’s J.D. PicKell on The Hard Count, Kelly delved into his Year 3 expectations and vibes.

“Well the standards and the culture feels so much more like what I’m used to,” Kelly said. “But that’s usually what happens in Year 3, for me. Everywhere I’ve been, the third year has been really successful, so I think the third year here is feeling very comfortable in terms of the standards and the expectations and how everybody has really adapted to the style and the expectations.”

The Tigers open the 2024 season against USC in Las Vegas on Sun., Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
