Kelly expects SEC scheduling model settled by end of the week
Kelly and LSU athletics director Scott Woodward have been open in wanting the SEC to adopt a nine-game scheduling model, and LSU’s second-year head coach is confident a decision will come during this week’s SEC meetings.
Kelly’s also confident the move will be made to shift to a nine-game SEC schedule, leaving three games open for non-conference play.
“I think it’ll be resolved. I think that there is a desire,” Kelly said. “When you have all the parties here, they recognize that there’s an urgency to get something done. I think by the end of the week with the presidents here, the athletic directors here, coaches obviously, our commissioner, wanting to get something done. I think you’ll see something done by the end of the week.”
