LSU’s Bayou Splash weekend wraps up Sunday in Baton Rouge. With the NCAA pushing through a month-long dead period starting Monday, the LSU staff shifted their annual Bayou Splash from its usual late-July date to this weekend — ensuring top targets could still make it to campus before the recruiting window closes.

Headlining the visit list are several of Louisiana’s top 2027 prospects, including two players already vying for the state’s No. 1 ranking. Jesuit 5-star EDGE Zyron Forstall made his way in from New Orleans, while Ruston tight end Ahmad Hudson stuck around after a strong showing at LSU’s Friday Night Lights. Hudson, the No. 1 tight end in the country according to the On3 Industry Rankings, holds offers from LSU in both football and basketball. Hudson was making incredible highlight-reel worthy plays at Tiger Stadium for the Friday Nights Lights event.

Other names back in Baton Rouge were Brother Martin 4-star wide receiver Easton Royal and Cecilia wide receiver Braylon Calais, a 4-star and On300 prospect, joining fellow in-state standouts like Hamilton Christian Academy’s Javon Vital Jr. and Catholic High running back Jayden Miles.

The LSU staff also brought in some key out-of-state names, including Omaha defensive back Tory Pittman. The Top 5 safety and elite track athlete competed Friday night before spending the weekend in Baton Rouge.

LSU has been active on the offer trail over the weekend as well, dishing out new 2027 offers to Houston cornerback Trenton Blaylock, Illinois wide receiver Laron Baker Jr, Ruston safety Jayden Anding, Gulf Shores wide receiver Carter Davis, Tennessee wideout Cam Wade, Tennessee four-star receiver Kesean Bowman, Georgia four-star tight end Grant Haviland and Michigan four-star tight end Anthony Cartwright III. The Tigers also extended an early offer to Georgia 2028 offensive tackle Kweli Fielder.

Jayden Anding is the younger brother of 2025 LSU cornerback signee Aidan Anding. He became Louisiana’s 12th player for the ’27 recruiting cycle to report an LSU offer.

It’s also worth noting that Davis impressed The Bengal Tiger’s Shea Dixon at LSU’s Friday night camp: “One of my favorite WRs to watch at LSU Friday Night Lights was Gulf Shores 2027 WR Carter Davis. Offer was definitely earned in Baton Rouge. He won’t be a ‘sleeper’ recruit for much longer,” Dixon shared on X.
