LSU Injury Report: Who's ready to go vs. South Carolina?

LSU’s offense has been battling injuries the past month, looking to finally get healthy during the bye week and put it all together ahead of South Carolina on Saturday night. At 4-1, the Tigers are the No. 11 team in the AP Poll and still one of the top teams in the SEC, but have to improve in the final half of the season to get to the postseason.
Here is what Brian Kelly said about the latest injuries to know and how he would classify them on the injury report to start the week as LSU prepares for another SEC game.
WR Aaron Anderson
The Tigers’ leading receiver is “probable” for Saturday’s game against South Carolina after recovering over the bye week. Anderson has 305 yards on 23 receptions this year and has been a crucial part of LSU’s offensive success.
“He had a litany of things: Hip, toe, knee. He’s banged up,” Kelly said. “If we were playing Saturday, I’d say he’d probably answer the bell, but he’s going to benefit greatly from the week off. Modern medicine will get him ready for the South Carolina game.”
QB Garrett Nussmeier
Nussmeier is good to go for this game according to Kelly. Nussmeier had been dealing with an upper body injury through the first five weeks of the season, but the bye week has always been the target date for Nussmeier to get rest and get back close to 100 percent. Michael Van Buren got most of the first team reps this week, while Nussmeier was sidelined and recovering and now the Tigers’ star quarterback looks to be back and ready to go against South Carolina.

RB Caden Durham
Durham missed the game against Ole Miss last weekend as he recovered from a sprained ankle. Durham was a gametime decision last time out, but after a week off, he’s back and ready to play against the Gamecocks on Saturday. In his place, Harlem Berry and Ju’Juan Johnson both shared time on the field, but Durham should be back to being the featured back this week for LSU.
OL Paul Mubenga
Mubenga is questionable entering this game with a high ankle sprain that has been an issue since the loss to Ole Miss. Mubenga has two weeks to get right before the game against South Carolina, but it’s unclear if he’ll be able to go. In his place, Coen Echols and DJ Chester are available and ready to step in at guard if Mubenga has to miss this game.
OT Weston Davis
Davis suffered a fractured nose and concussion before the Ole Miss game which is why he was ruled out less than 30 minutes before kickoff. After going through concussion protocol, LSU’s right tackle is back active and ready to play according to Kelly on Monday.
