Bayou Traditions, the newly launched Official Collective of LSU Athletics, partners with Louisiana based NIL technology leader MatchPoint Connection (“MatchPoint”) as its collective administrator.
In order to facilitate the NIL deals between the collective and selected LSU student-athletes, Bayou Traditions will take advantage of MatchPoint’s platform, which ensures contract execution, proper documentation, athlete deliverables, payment processing, tax document distribution and reporting to LSU compliance.
MatchPoint also assisted with the collective’s launch efforts by developing Bayou Traditions’ branding, website and hype-video featuring the great former LSU Tiger, Tyrann Mathieu.
“Working with the Geaux Enterprises collective early on allowed us to perfect the process for collectives in general, so when it came time to rebrand, we were ready for the leveled-up Bayou Traditions that now allows all LSU Tiger fans to join,” said MatchPoint CEO, Brian Oliver. Oliver says LSU athletes have always been near and dear to Matchpoint, since its well-produced campaign with Derek Stingley Jr. and Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux on July 1, 2021, which was one of the first NIL deals in the U.S.
LSU fans can now “join the tradition” by contributing to the collective through Bayou Traditions’ website.
Payment options include one-time, monthly or annual payments and fans can choose levels of support like The Natty, The Boot, and Geaux. By selecting one of the tiers, supporters can earn perks like LSU gear, tailgate passes and signed memorabilia. Bayou Traditions also allows sponsorship opportunities for larger contributions with incredible perks. To get involved with the collective, visit www.BayouTraditionsCollective.com.
“Bayou Traditions was set up for success from the start due in large part to our relationship with MatchPoint. The attention they provide to us and our student-athletes is second to none in the NIL industry. That level of support truly makes MatchPoint feel like an extension of our own staff. We are incredibly grateful to have the relationship we do with them,” said President of Bayou Traditions, Brent Cunningham.
About MatchPoint Connection
MatchPoint Connection created the first two-way marketplace for NIL deals in the country. The technology company also focuses efforts on streamlining processing for collectives with its latest features. Collectives can now utilize MatchPoint’s web portal and mobile apps’ newly-released contract feature that allows users to quickly generate, execute and organize a professional marketing agreement written by an NFL marketing agent and attorney.
