Brune: It kind of speaks to Brian Kelly‘s tenure as a whole. I mean, it’s very clear Sloan needed to be gone. And I think everybody watching understood that. And so, for that to be the pushback that he had from administration or Woodward or Boosters, whoever the hell wanted Sloan fired, I mean, it speaks to his stubbornness. It speaks to his hardheadedness. and the fact that what he thinks he’s doing is correct. Sure, he would have fired maybe Davis or somebody else; it doesn’t matter to not to see the wall that is in front of you and to keep running into it over and over.

After what we watched last night, I mean, we could call it what it is. It’s stupid. I mean, and Brian Kelly at this point, I’ve never thought he was dumb. I never thought he was a guy who wasn’t bright, but I it felt like a guy who said, ‘What are you going to do? Fire me, and then they actually rounded up the money, man. And then they actually rounded up the money and fired him. Like they said, ‘What are you going to do And If there’s one thing we’ve learned with these buyouts, A M, LSU, whoever, all these other places that have exorbitant amounts of buyout money, it’s when the wheels start turning and they start actually passing around the collection basket, it fills up a lot faster, and you start coming up with ways.
