Brune: It has to be his decision if he’s the guy going forward. And I thought he did enough to say, hey, you’re going to be the guy the next two games. Yes. And that was the big thing that you pointed out that I agreed with: if you’re starting the last three games of the season, I understand it, and I go with it. That’s completely different than splitting time with Nussmeier for three games and just burning a red shirt for that. So, if he is the starting quarterback for these three games, I’m 100% with it; I understand it. And from a competitive standpoint, especially with Nussmeier now being injured or whatever the heck is happening there, him playing there, him starting in placement makes a lot of sense to me.
Bryce: Something to keep a note of: Michael Van Buren started eight games last year in Mississippi State If he starts the next three, including the bowl game, that’ll essentially be a full season’s worth of starts that he’s made, 12 games. And so, if it’s here or if it’s elsewhere, he now has back-to-back years of a decent amount of tape to go and be able to put on and say, hey look, I think I can play somewhere, here’s why. I think that’s the biggest thing. He had to start. He looks like he’s going to get that opportunity going forward. And we’ll kind of see where it goes from there
