LSU has added another top recruit out of Louisiana

LSU Football landed a commitment from another one of Louisiana’s top recruits, and it came with some in-state history made for a Bayou State school.

Winnsboro’s Dezyrian Ellis became the first LSU football commit in Franklish Parish school history.

LSU signed Booger McFarland out of Winnsboro in 1995 before the parish consolidated schools in 2005.

30 years after McFarland signed with the Tigers, and 20 years after the parish consolidated schools, Ellis is headed to suit up in purple-and-gold as he makes Franklin Parish history along the way.

The addition of Ellis is commitment No. 11 for LSU’s 2026 recruiting class, which ranks as a Top 5 class on the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Here’s a look at the commitments LSU has added on offense and defense as dominos begin to fall again for the Tigers on the recruiting trail.
