Brayden Robinson eyes Miami, Notre Dame in tight recruiting race

Two teams are beginning to separate themselves for Red Oak (Tx.) four-star 2026 receiver Brayden Robinson.
Notre Dame and Miami are “1a. and 1b.” for the No. 333 overall prospect and No. 51 receiver in the On3 Industry Ranking after coaches from both schools visited him at his school last week.
Miami receivers coach Kevin Beard spent four hours meeting with Robinson and his coaches Friday afternoon with conversations that ranged from how he’s doing personally to how he’s developed on the field. Robinson and Beard regularly speak on the phone for 45 minutes or longer, so Robinson welcomed the opportunity for a extended in-person meeting with Miami’s receivers coach.
Robinson visited Miami and Notre Dame this spring. His mind is still far from made up despite receiving an RPM to Notre Dame in early April.
“Both (visits) went great,” Robinson said. “It’s definitely something I’ve really got to hone in on because they’re two totally different environments, two totally different atmospheres and they both bring different things to the table, so it’s just really going to come down to what I need.”

Player development will play a significant factor, although he feels like both programs have similar developmental capabilities. Miami and Notre Dame plan to use him in similar offensive roles and can offer similar opportunities on special teams. It meant plenty to him both schools stopped by his school this week to see him too.
“It’s just the effort (the schools are making),” Robinson said. “I know that they actually care not just about football but about life. That’s definitely something that stood out to me. I want to make sure I’m taken care of off the field mentally and not just looked at as a certain number.”
Robinson plans on committing July 20, his mother’s birthday.
CaneSport’s Take
Robinson may not be the biggest receiver Miami is recruiting this cycle, but he might be the fastest. He’s clocked in a 10.4-second 100M sprint before and has been a menace returning kicks and punts, which should make him an immediate candidate to start on special teams wherever he ends up.
