WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Stay tuned this afternoon for insight from coach Mario Cristobal and coordinators Lance Guidry and Shannon Dawson with game week here off a bye.

To hold you over till then?

We have Cristobal’s thoughts this morning, and he shares that Kam Kinchens will be back Saturday off injury and talks about the team’s progress during the bye weekend.

We have plenty of other content for you as well, starting with several analysis items. We took a closer look at the Georgia Tech passing attack that could cause UM some issues this weekend. There’s also our things Miami has done right so far … and needs to keep up. Plus we break down 5 keys for the team coming off the bye weekend.

Also don’t miss Matt Shodell’s big picture column on where things stand off these first four games with the ACC opponents set to begin Saturday.

In recruiting news?

Since earning an offer from the Miami Hurricanes after a strong camp outing in late June, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage 2025 cornerback Gregory “Zae” Thomas has continued to develop his relationship with the Canes coaching staff and head coach Mario Cristobal. He updates his status.

Los Angeles (Calif.) Oaks Christian 2025 three-star defensive lineman Hayden Lowe also shares with things stand. He has an offer, so what’s his take on UM?

Plus Miami’s staff has gone hard after Randy Adirika, the No. 276 overall 2025 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking and a top-30 defensive lineman in his class, since the start of August. So find out the situation there.

Another update is a recent offer to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei three-star linebacker Abduall Sanders. He talks about where Miami fits in for him.

UM not be offering prospects at the same rate in-season it was during the spring and summer, but the Hurricanes still made a point to extend an offer to Los Alamitos (Calif.) 2026 interior offensive lineman Manoah Faupusa. He weighs in.

We also have your coach’s take on how the season is going with LB commit Cam Pruitt, DL commit Daylen Russell as well as OL commit Nino Francavilla, so check those out as well.

Alpharetta (Ga.) Miltop Miami 2025 tight end target Ryan Ghea, a four-star prospect, only plans to take three more game day visits this fall, and the Hurricanes will receive one. Get more on his situation.

There also is an update with Miami (Fla.) Columbus 2025 four-star safety Bryce Fitzgerald. He has always kept an eye on Miami, but after the Hurricanes’ 4-0 start to the 2023 season and climb to No. 18 in the AP Poll, plus a more aggressive recruiting effort from the Canes’ staff, he’s found a new level of interest in the program.

Don’t miss our Live From The Crib feature either, updating top area prospects.

Last but not least we have inside recruiting scoop with Izubee Charles and Josh Newberg discussing the Canes’ recruiting.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Why do I feel this time its different… Posted by Hooracane

Offensive line. Our offensive line looks massive and at par with any SEC team. No more smallish soft bodied OL. Mario has indelibly placed his stamp on the OL and that is the single biggest reason why I believe this time we are for real. Rain, sleet or sunshine, you need to run the ball and protect the Qb. Same with the dolphins this year. As explosive as the O is it can win in December when a run game is critical.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I just bring a lot of energy. I like to describe myself as a dog on the court. I get after it every possession, defensively and offensively. I like to call myself a do-it-all guy. That’s what I’m bringing here. Someone that can do it all.”
