WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Well, be sure to check out coach Mario Cristobal’s thoughts as the coach broke things down this a.m.

And, with the regular season over, we have a lot of analysis items for you.

First up is a closer look at the transfer portal needs for this team … and yes, there are a lot of them. We also look at the quarterback position with an analysis of what has to happen there moving forward. And, with that QB position in mind, don’t miss our breakdown of Mississippi State QB Will Rogers – it’s expected he will enter the portal when it opens Dec. 4, and we share why he might, or might not, be a good fit for the Miami Hurricanes.

And then there’s our closer look at 10 freshmen that need to be ready to step up as playmakers next year, so don’t miss that breakdown either.

Also from over the weekend be sure to check out all our coverage from the UM-BC game. We had columns, analysis, our game story and position-by-position report card, feedback from Mario Cristobal and players, keys from the game, a next-day Pro Football Focus analysis of what went right and wrong, Gary Ferman answering all your questions on the message board, photo galleries, video highlights and more.

In recruiting?

Be sure to check out our Live From The Crib feature that included an update on huge 5-star target Jeremiah Smith along with QB Cedrick Bailey, who Miami is now pushing for. Both are committed elsewhere with the Canes pushing hard.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine may list Florida as the heavy favorite to land top-50 2025 linebacker Tarvos “TJ” Alford, the No. 46 overall prospect in the On300, but the 6-foot-2, 204-pound prospect says Miami is well in his picture too. So don’t miss that.

And Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy four-star 2025 linebacker Carlton “CJ” Smith has already visited Miami twice this fall for game-day trips, but the No. 38 linebacker in next year’s recruiting cycle has his eye on returning to South Florida at the start of the next calendar year. Read his thoughts.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
