WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. Today, we take a look at No. 36, Bert Auburn, who hopes to regain his form in Coral Gables this season.

We also dive into Miami’s running back room and explore whether the Hurricanes will have a 1,000-yard rusher in 2025. We’re breaking down the Canes’ backfield — and why it matters. Make sure to check that out.

In recruiting news, the Hurricanes landed a commitment on Saturday from Orlando (Fla.) Boone three-star interior offensive lineman Rhys Woodrow. He breaks down his decision and explains why he chose Miami over several in-state programs.

With Woodrow now on board, Miami is up to 11 commits in the 2026 recruiting class. CaneSport’s Stephen Wagner takes his best crack at predicting who might join Woodrow and the rest of the Canes commits in his latest mock class.

We also have a pair of updates on rising 2027 prospects. First up is Charles W. Flanagan (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jacob Thomas, who is currently committed to Pitt but remains interested in Miami. The Hurricanes have continued to pursue the speedy South Florida pass catcher.

Lastly, we catch up with Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman three-star running back Terrance Grant, who was recently offered by Miami and is now hoping to make his first trip to Coral Gables to check out what the Hurricanes have to offer.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
