WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. Today, we take a look at No. 35, Malik Bryant, who could be a pass-rushing threat for the Hurricanes this upcoming season.
Also in team news, we examine why Rueben Bain and the Miami Hurricanes’ reinforced secondary could ignite a sack frenzy for new defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman in 2025.
In recruiting news, we kick off our summer official visit previews with Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star EDGE Daniel Norman, who is set to visit Coral Gables this weekend for his first official visit. He discusses that and more.
Another top Miami target this cycle out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas is four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, who will also visit Miami later this summer. He shares where things stand with the Hurricanes and his other top schools.

Last week, Miami landed a commitment from three-star IOL Rhys Boone. Now, the Hurricanes have their eyes set on another prospect — Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech three-star 2026 interior offensive lineman Canon Pickett — who is one of Miami’s top targets this cycle.
Lastly, we explore the potential for a summer surge and highlight eight prospects who could potentially commit to the Canes in the coming weeks.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
“A big part for me and my family is always the head coach, and we know Coach Cristobal is a great dude,” Fitzpatrick told CaneSport. “He’s been a big part of my recruitment, which isn’t always a normal thing for most head coaches. He’s made it clear that he wants me there and feels like he kind of needs me there. He’s really pushed hard with me and my parents.”
