WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. Today, we take a look at No. 34, Jaylin Alderman, who is looking to make some noise in his second year in Coral Gables.
Also in team news, 2025 will mark year four for Miami head coach Mario Cristobal. The big question is: can he lead the Hurricanes to a playoff berth—and potentially further? We take a closer look at just that.
In recruiting, we also have a handful of updates, as Miami is set to host some of its top targets this upcoming weekend for official visits.
First up, we check in with Duncanville (Tx.) three-star 2026 ATH Zachery Turner, who has moved his Miami official visit from June 20 to this weekend, May 30. He’ll be in South Florida in the coming days and talks about that and more.

There’s also more movement on the official visit front, this time from 2026 Miami commit Jontavius Wyman. He was initially scheduled to visit the Hurricanes this weekend but has rescheduled for June 6 to join some of his fellow Miami commits.
We also have an update on Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who recently received a visit from Miami defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman. Early on, the Canes appear to be a team to watch in his recruitment, so make sure to check out everything he’s saying.
Lastly, on the recruiting front, we take a look at a quartet of 2027 prospects out of St. Thomas Aquinas, whom the Hurricanes are heavily pursuing.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
