WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. Today, we take a look at No. 33, Ray Ray Joseph, who has the talent to be an impact player with the Canes — but he has to show it.

Also in team news, we take another look at Miami’s run game and why it could become the new focal point of the Hurricanes’ offense under coordinator Shannon Dawson in 2025.

In recruiting, Miami is set to host 17 of its top targets in the 2026 class this upcoming weekend in Coral Gables for the program’s first official visit weekend of the year. We take a closer look at the elite group of prospects heading to South Florida.

One of those 17 expected visitors is Clayton (N.C.) top-75 defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil. He talks about where things stand ahead of his visit to Miami and more. We also catch up with another Canes defensive line target — Picayune (Miss.) Memorial top-50 defensive lineman Nolan Wilson — who is scheduled to visit Miami later this summer on June 20.

Lastly, we have an update on Hurricanes baseball. Pitchers Griffin Hugus and Brian Walters preview Miami’s regional opener against No. 2 seed Alabama (41–16) in the Hattiesburg Regional on Friday at 3 p.m.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I really do like the coaches,” Wilson said. “Coach D-Lew (Damione Lewis), he came by my house, and coach (Jason) Taylor, when I went up there he was really good showing us around, treating us well. I really liked it when I went up there.”
