WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We continue our State of The U series. We’ve tackled the recruiting classes, which included big transfer numbers, and more. Today we are tackling what Miami fans should expect – realistically – at QB with Cam Ward gone and Carson Beck filling his shoes. Don’t miss that.

And we continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. As we go along on this list you’ll get an idea of the overall depth of talent on Mario Cristobal’s team this year as he seeks to build on a season that was oh-so-close to a playoff berth. You can read our inside look today of No. 12, Dylan Joyce.

In recruiting?

Miami held a prospect camp yesterday, and Miami offered Cheshire Academy four-star 2027 quarterback Keegan Croucher afterward. Find out where things stand there now. Also check out our wrapup of what went on at the camp and the top performers.

Miami has made arguably more progress than anyone for Picayune (Miss.) Picayune Memorial four-star defensive lineman Nolan Wilson, and we catch up with him for his thoughts heading into a UM OV this weekend.

Plus baseball coach J.D. Arteaga talks with CaneSport about his 2026 roster and what lies ahead after an oh-so-close run to Omaha that ended in Super Regionals.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

The haters … Posted by Klbcec

Prove it on the field, and the hate stops. And while they hated us while we were winning in the 80s, 90s, and early 00s, they knew Miami had the best athletes in college football. Miami had no problem back then appearing on All-american lists.

Last year Miami showed once again that they are soft when it’s time to go all in. Epically bad defensive performances caused Miami to lose three games against teams they should have handled at the end of the season. Heck, Miami was lucky they didn’t lose five games. Two of the wins turned on controversial calls by the referee. If those calls go the other way, Miami finishes 9 and 5 last year.

I have been waiting 23 years for Miami to be back. They have not earned any respect right now.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I think first of all, what Miami did in the offense last year with Cam Ward (is attractive). I think it fits me perfectly. They like to spread the rock, throw the rock, and that’s what I like to do. I think that’s the biggest reason (for his Miami interest).”
