WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

This morning you don’t want to miss Part I of our one-on-one interview with Miami Athletic Director Dan Radakovich. There are a lot of changes coming to college sports, and Miami must adjust to revenue sharing. Don’t miss what he’s telling us.

Miami got a commitment yesterday from receiver Vance Spafford, a huge pickup whom Miami flipped from Georgia. We have the report plus analysis.

And after that, the Hurricanes added a commitment from 2027 local safety Jaylyn Jones.

And we have more updates for you.

No. 3 RB Derrek Cooper is trending for Miami, and we have your latest going on with him.

Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson four-star 2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn, the No. 1 quarterback on Miami’s board in next year’s cycle, has remained high on the Hurricanes since they began recruiting him earlier this spring. He felt the staff moved the needle during his multi-day unofficial visit this weekend. We have the report.

Venice (Fla.) four-star 2026 EDGE Asharri Charles has undoubtedly been one of the best players on one of the best teams in the state of Florida the past two years. So it’s no surprise Miami’s staff reacted with such elation when the No. 184 overall prospect and No. 23 EDGE concluded his official visit to Coral Gables Sunday with a commitment. We have the story.

We also continue our State of The U series. We’ve tackled the recruiting classes, which included big transfer numbers, and more. Today we are tackling what Miami fans should expect – realistically – on the defensive line. Will the defensive tackles have enough talent and depth? How good are the ends? Don’t miss that.

And we continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. As we go along on this list you’ll get an idea of the overall depth of talent on Mario Cristobal’s team this year as he seeks to build on a season that was oh-so-close to a playoff berth. You can read our inside look today of No. 7, OJ Frederique.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Can’t just rely on the portal … Posted by CanesGhost

Need to do better job recruiting, developing, and maintaining the top talent. Loved Ward….but the portal has been disappointing to me.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“We continue to try to move forward and make these investments while also making sure that the university feels like they’re getting some type of a positive Return on Investment back. Can you put a price on the Final Four appearance? Can you put a price on Cam Ward getting into the Heisman finals and being the number one draft choice?”
