WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have an update this morning with Mario Cristobal and will catch up with him again later … as well as with coordinators Lance Guidry and Shannon Dawson off the Bethune-Cookman game. And, of course, don’t miss our full coverage coming off the win from Thursday night. We had columns, analysis, our game story and position-by-position report card, feedback from coach Mario Cristobal and players, our column on Mark Richt being honored, a next-day Pro Football Focus analysis of what went right and wrong, Gary Ferman answering all your questions on the message board, photo galleries, video highlights and much more.

We also have a basketball update for you with Jim Larranaga, as the hype is already there for the Miami Hurricanes coming off runs to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight and Final Four.

In recruiting we also have plenty of stories for you, including a interview with Chance Robinson following his visit to Ohio State over the weekend as well as the big news at the end of last week that 5-star Armondo Blount was joining the Miami commitment list – including analyses of what that addition means for the Canes. There also was a basketball commitment – Isaiah Johnson-Arigu. So you can read all about that.

Our other recruiting content?

There also was our Live From The Crib feature with updates on top Miami commits and targets from the American Heritage vs. Chaminade Madonna game, including UM commits Joshisa Trader and Zaquan Patterson.

And don’t miss our story with 5-star WR Jeremiah Smith, who Miami is trying to sway from Ohio State … and who that Canes have impressed with their fast start this season.

We also have an Inside The Lines feature with Cheshire Academy post-graduate center and commitment Nino Francavilla. He has a unique story to tell. Another commit update? Well, Miami is continuing to face competition for Theodore (Al.) 2024 four-star Miami linebacker commit Cam Pruitt from programs including Alabama.

We also catch up with Gainesville (Fla.) F. W. Buchholz 2024 defensive lineman Kendall Jackson. He may have every tie to the University of Florida in the book, but that hasn’t stopped Miami from maintaining their lines of communication with the four-star Gators pledge.

The Canes are also chasing IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman TJ Lindsey. He may have committed to Auburn over programs like Miami, Texas, Arkansas and Texas A&M last month, but the Hurricanes’ staff hasn’t shied away from pursuing the 6-foot-3, 270-pound recruit.

Boynton Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central 2025 four-star receiver Kamare Williams has liked what he’s seen from Miami so far this season, and it’s helping the Hurricanes maintain their position on the top-300 recruit’s radar.

Another update is with Miami (Fla.) Central 2024 four-star receiver Lawayne McCoy. He’s an FSU commit, but Miami has more than held its ground for the top-250 prospect.

Then we touch base with La Verne (Calif.) Bonita four-star 2025 linebacker Noah Mikhail, the No. 49 overall prospect in the On3 Recruiting Rankings. He’s already visited once and is hoping for a return visit to South Florida for a game day visit. So get the latest on where things stand there.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Biggest surprise to me this season has been… Posted by Trust

Jalen Rivers at Left Tackle. I really thought we were gonna be screwed there if Zion wasn’t healthy. From what I watch, Rivers was as good as any OL. Played really strong. I did not see that coming as he was pretty bad at tackle last year and in spring game. Jaden Davis is a nice surprise as well. Everything else to me, is expected. Been preaching since summer, 10 win season this year. Just gotta focus and not give a game away. Can’t wait til Clemson game. Hey holla at me if you thought we could win 10 before the season. There were only a few of us on the board. And certainly wasn’t anyone on staff here!

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
