WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Well, if you missed CaneSport Live last night it’s not too late to tune in. You can still check out Gary Ferman and Izubee Charles talking all things Canes with fans.

And tonight be sure to tune in for The Lamar Thomas Show. It promises to be entertaining as always.

Also be sure to check in at the website at around 3 p.m. with Miami a finalist for 5-star hoops star Jalil Bethea. He previews his decision with us, so be sure to read that.

We’ll also have more feedback from the team after today’s practice, so stay tuned for that. And yesterday we had players weighing in with their thoughts after practice as well.

This morning you can check out Matt Shodell’s column that argues “Why not Miami” this year? The Canes are looking great and some other ACC teams that were expected to be dominant this year are perhaps not quite so dominant.

Plus there’s our Canes in the NFL feature, with stats and highlights as well as more insight from coach Mario Cristobal.

We also have recruiting updates for you.

The first is on Oklahoma DL commitment David Stone, who Miami is looking to sway. We have five key questions about his recruitment.

Then there is a two-tiered update with Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage 2026 four-star quarterback Dia Bell and 2026 receiver Malachi Toney — one of the Hurricanes’ two 2026 commits. They both attended Miami’s Week 2 48-33 win over then-No. 23 Texas A&M and the Hurricanes’ Week 3 48-7 blowout of Bethune-Cookman. They share their thoughts.

In basketball recruiting we have a closer look at what Miami added to its class with the recent commitment from Minneapolis (Minn.) Totino-Grace four-star small forward Isaiah Johnson-Arigu. What makes him such a special prospect?

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Thoughts on Emory Williams … Posted by Chasmish

He may end up being the most important recruit from last years class. He can sling it and looks cool, calm and collected out there.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It’s been a great start for them. They’re going back to that Miami football that they had back in the day. They’re bringing it back, and everything’s looking beautiful. Their offense is electric. They’ve come out and executed.”
