MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

(Neil Gershman-Zooba Images)

“The No. 1 thing for us was communication, and we always want to eliminate the explosives. That was a high play, explosive offense. … we gave up two plays over 25 yards. On play three they hit a wheel out of the backfield and on the last (drive) we miss a tackle, 30 yard gain. No. 2 was we needed to create more big plays on defense than they have on offense – a TFL, sack, fumble recovery, interception. And we created nine big plays on defense, where we gave up eight. Against that offense, that’s very difficult to do.”
