Oct. 29, 2025

The Miami Hurricanes landed Akron (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit four-star 2026 receiver Milan Parris last night, as he chose UM over Oregon and Oklahoma in arguably the Hurricanes’ biggest recruiting win since the start of the fall season. He becomes Miami’s 24th commit of the cycle and first pledge since the Hurricanes landed three-star defensive lineman Frederic Sainteus last month. We had that breaking news for you plus an analysis.

Greg was legendary, Gary made great points and Matt was annoying. Yes, CaneSport Live was live last night with fans and the CaneSport staff talking all things Hurricanes. You can still tune in today as Miami gears up for its game against Louisville.

We had tons of content for you off yesterday afternoon’s hoops media day, including what Dan Radakovich was talking about and coach Jai Lucas going in-depth about this year’s team. So don’t miss all of that.

QB Carson Beck shared his thoughts on his play and the challenge of facing SMU this weekend, and we also caught up with Keionte Scott and freshman phenom Malachi Toney after practice. So don’t miss all of that.

Oh, and also check out our in-depth closer look at what kind of challenge SMU poses for the Canes in our preview of the Mustangs and their personnel.

Bullard (Tx.) Brook Hill four-star 2027 offensive tackle Sidney Rouleau had already visited Miami once before his return to The U this past weekend, but Saturday was his first opportunity to watch the Hurricanes in person in a live game. We’ve got his take off the weekend trip.

CaneSport isn’t just providing your Miami Hurricanes round the clock news, we’re also good for your health! Because we’ve got your honest to goodness columns, features, analysis and news delivered with honestly, integrity and a little ESV sprinkled in. Corey Hetherman may use the motto ESV as “Excitement, Swarm, Violence” for his defense, but for us it’s “Excellence, Superb coverage and Violence.” Okay, fine, for us the V actually stands for “Value.” Because you can sign up for CaneSport for the $1 in change you find in your couch right now – yes, we’re talking to you. And we’ll throw in a year subscription to The Athletic with an annual CaneSport subscription. So get a CaneSport subscription now!

There’s no mail anymore. But there are CaneSport’s message boards, which is kind of the same thing just with the message delivered immediately. So be sure to check out all the latest Hurricanes perspective with your fellow fans!

We’re in the midst of SMU week, and stay tuned tonight for The Lamar Thomas Show at 8 p.m. And later this morning we’ll be catching up with more players after practice. Oh, and have a great day and Go Canes!
