Miami Hurricanes Obliterate Delaware State 97-41 Behind Perfect Shooting Night From Reneau and Donaldson

Delaware State’s basketball team perhaps thought things couldn’t get much worse than a 2-4 start to the season that included a 40-point loss at Syracuse. Well, then Miami came along.
The Canes crushed the Hornets in ridiculous fashion on Sunday afternoon at the Watsco Center, 97-41.
The win marked the first victory by at least 50 points since the Hurricanes defeated Nova Southeastern, 108-58, on Nov. 16, 2009. At one point Miami led by 59 points, 92-33.
If the scoreboard doesn’t show you the how overmatched this opponent was, then the stats will do it for you – Miami shot 61.3 percent from the floor to Delaware State’s 25.9 percent, and the Canes had a 44-29 rebounding advantage.
If there was a weak area for Miami it would be free throw shooting (11 of 19). The Canes made 10 of 23 threes, including 4-4 from Tre Donaldson.
