SpartanMag LIVE! Assessing the coaching climate at Michigan State and what's next

EAST LANSING, Mich. – In the latest edition of SpartanMag LIVE!, SpartanMag publisher Jim Comparoni takes your questions on Michigan State football, the state of the program, and hypotheticals surrounding a potential search for a new head coach.
Comparoni discusses the temperature of the waters in and around Michigan State pertaining to a possible coaching search. He fields questions such as:
* From Steve in Okemos: What do you expect is going on in the back rooms of Michigan State athletics, are boosters typically contacted in situations like these?
* From Desert Sparty in Phoenix: What attributes and characteristics would you want in a head football coach at Michigan State?
* From MSUJRoot in Marshall, Mich.: What are you hearing about the NIL situation for Michigan State football moving forward?

* From Spartee in Pawleys Island, SC: Do you expect QB Alessio Milivoijevic to get more playing time?
* From Mike in West Palm Beach, Fla.: If Jonathan Smith is not the coach next year, and there aren’t any viable Power Four head coach candidates available, purely in a vacuum, which type of coach do you think would be a better candidate? A Group of Five head coach, or a Power Four coordinator?
Comparoni fields these questions and more, while cautioning that Michigan State still has a chance to rally late this season and calm the firing waters, partly because some of the money people and decision-makers are still undecided. It’s ultimately up to J Batt for a recommendation, but people of influence will weigh in – especially if the waters get rougher.
