RADAR '25: Michigan State offers Omaha (NE) linebacker Christian Jones

Michigan State began the new year with an offer to a class of 2025 recruit Christian Jones of Omaha (NE). The 6-foot-3 linebacker is currently unranked by the On3 Consensus rankings, although he does hold six offers including Michigan State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa State, Minnesota, and Kansas.
Spartan defensive analyst TJ Hollowell extended the offer on Jan. 2.
Familiar with the area of Omaha, Hollowell started for the Nebraska Cornhuskers from 2000-2003 before a stint in the NFL. He spent time as a graduate assistant under Bo Pelini for four years (2010-13).
“Coach Hollowell offered,” Jones said. ”It was my first time talking to Michigan State today. It was good, he seems like a pretty good guy. Just getting an offer to a school like that is a blessing so it was a good conversation.”
It was a brief conversation introducing Jones to Hollowell and the Michigan State program. Jones plans to learn more about the program through his own research and talking with the coaches.
“I think it would be a great school to look into, and I’ve heard they have great academics,” Jones said.
Jones recorded 41 solo tackles, 19 assisted, two forced fumbles, an interception, and three sacks on five tackles for a loss in his sophomore season for Omaha Westside High.

“From what coaches have told me about my film is that I look very athletic, I take very good angles to the ball, I have a nose for where the ball is going, and a good explosion through the hips when I tackle,” Jones said.
As for what he is looking for in a future program, the 2025 linebacker already has a good idea.
“A program that is going to have a strong culture and push me to become the best man I can be in life, along with a good education,” Jones said.
Jones has no visit plans for his off season as of now. He could visit multiple of his offers in the coming months.
“As of right now, I don’t have any visits planned, I most likely will I just don’t have any at the moment,” Jones said.
