Four Michigan State offensive players earn All-Big Ten recognition

EAST LANSING, Mich. – One day after Jordan Hall, Wayne Matthews III and Ryan Eckley received All-Big Ten recognition, four more Michigan State players obtained such honors.

Jack Velling, a Third Team All-Big Ten selection by the media, headlined the group. The senior tight end caught 36 passes this season for 359 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. His reception total ranked fourth on the team and tied the career high he set last year.

Velling has now earned all-conference honors twice in his career. He received Second Team All-Pac 12 recognition as a sophomore at Oregon State.

Nick Marsh took home honorable mention All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and the media. The sophomore receiver caught a team-high 59 passes for 662 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games this season. On Monday, he announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal.

Marsh set single-season program records for receptions (41) and receiving yards (649) by a true freshman last season.

Omari Kelly and Matt Gulbin both earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition from the media. Kelly, a senior receiver, caught 47 passes for 626 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games this season. Kelly previously earned First Team All-Conference USA honors as a receiver and Second Team All-Conference USA honors as a punt returner in his lone season at Middle Tennessee State in 2024.

Gulbin, a redshirt senior center, played every snap of Michigan State’s first 11 games this year before missing the season finale with an injury. One of five team captains, Gulbin emerged as a stalwart in the middle of the Spartans’ offensive line.

Gulbin previously earned honorable mention All-ACC honors as a redshirt junior at Wake Forest.
