Michigan State lands '26 four-star SG Jasiah Jervis

Michigan State and Tom Izzo have struck again on the recruiting trail, this time landing 2026 four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis. Jervis (6-5, 180), of White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac High School, chose the Spartans over Tennessee, NC State, Pittsburgh and Illinois on Wednesday during a commitment ceremony at his high school.
Jervis’ official visit to Michigan State occurred back in September, during the Spartans’ annual Grind Week event. He held additional offers from Texas, Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, St. John’s and Seton Hall, among others.
Jervis is the No. 22 recruit, No. 5 shooting guard and No. 4 player from New York in his class, per the Rivals Rankings.
Michigan State heavily prioritized Jervis. Spartan coaches visited him several times before and after his trip to East Lansing.
Jervis led his New York-area program on a run to the Nike Peach Jam finals this summer while averaging 15.7 points on the circuit. He shot 43.2 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three in eight games at Peach Jam. Jervis logged 20 points, five rebounds and two assists in the championship game.

“My confidence grew tremendously this summer,” Jervis told Rivals. “We played against the top players, and I led my team to the Peach Jam finals. I’m a three-level scorer and a two-way player who can do everything on the floor. I like to win and compete and push my teammates to compete with me.”
Jervis becomes the third commitment of Michigan State’s 2026 class, joining four-star point guard Carlos Medlock Jr and four-star small forward Julius Avent.
Medlock (6-0, 170) chose the Spartans over offers from Michigan, Tennessee, Iowa and Creighton, among others. Avent (6-8, 220) chose the Spartans over Seton Hall, Xavier, Penn State and Providence, among others.
Michigan State will continue to await final decisions from four-star center target Ethan Taylor, of Link Academy in Missouri, along with four-star forward Maximo Adams, of Harbor City (Calif.) Sierra Canyon High School.
