Michigan State lands 2026 Freeland (Mich.) OL Tristan Comer

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State landed a surprise commitment from 2026 Freeland (Mich.) offensive lineman Tristian Comer Monday evening. Comer took an official visit to East Lansing over the weekend.
Comer (6-6, 270) also took official visits to Oregon State (May 9), Northwestern (June 3) and West Virginia (June 6). He was scheduled to take an official visit to Cincinnati on June 20, but has since canceled the trip. Comer held additional offers from Army, Miami (Ohio) and Western Michigan, among others.
He took unofficial visits to Michigan State in June, August and October of last year.
Comer, who also plays basketball at Freeland High School, starred left tackle and defensive end for the Falcons last fall. On defense, Comer logged 79 tackles (11 for a loss), eight sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery last season. He earned First Team All-State honors as a result.
Comer has yet to receive an On3 Industry Ranking.
Comer serves as Michigan State’s second 2026 commitment of the day, its 17th overall and its fourth on the offensive line. The Spartans also landed 2026 Illinois wide receiver Zachary Washington on Monday.
