Michigan State lands 2026 Tennessee EDGE Cory House

Michigan State struck again on the recruiting trail when it landed 2026 three-star rush end Cory House, of Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven High School, on Tuesday. House announced his commitment via social media.
House (6-4, 210) spent the weekend of May 30 in East Lansing before taking an official visit to Iowa over the weekend of June 6. He was scheduled to visit Memphis next weekend, but canceled the trip to his hometown program. He held additional offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, North Carolina and Virginia Tech, among others.
House is the No. 826 recruit, No. 77 EDGE and No. 25 player from Tennessee in the 2026 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings.
House has developed a strong relationship with Michigan State rush ends coach Chad Wilt during his recruitment. Wilt made a strong impression on House and his family during the official visit and helped Michigan State earn his parents’ seal of approval.
”Coach Wilt is one of the coaches that my parents trust,” House said. “My parents trust me going up to Michigan State. He has built that trust with my parents and myself.
”(Wilt) likes that the defense Michigan State runs, I already run on my film. It wouldn’t be that much of a change, and he has the proof that I can do the stuff that they do.”

House becomes the fourth player to commit to Michigan State from the program’s May 30 official visit weekend. He joins linebacker Braylon Hodge, of Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek High School, along with Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater High School cornerback Kelsey Deriso and former Iowa State safety commit Brayden Thomas.
During their visits, those four spent time with fellow Michigan State 2026 commitment Eddie Whiting, a tight end from Sioux Falls (S.D.) Jefferson High School who also took his official visit that weekend. 2026 quarterback Kayd Coffman, of East Kentwood (Mich.) High School, and offensive lineman Eli Bickel, of North Branch (Mich.) High School, both took unofficial visits to campus that Saturday.
Michigan State has also received a pair of commitments from its June 6 official visit weekend: Frisco (Texas) Lone Star High School defensive tackle Christopher Knauls Jr. and Jacksonville (Fla.) Impact Christian High School safety Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy.
Mansfield (Ohio) Lexington High School tight end Joey Caudill rounds out the Spartans’ 10-man 2026 recruiting class. Caudill will take his official visit to East Lansing on June 13.
