EAST LANSING, Mich. – Pat Fitzgerald continues to fill out his Michigan State coaching staff. The Spartans are set to hire defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere, formerly of the Arizona Cardinals, sources told On3’s Pete Nakos on Monday.

DeLattiboudere joined the Cardinals’ staff in February. He spent the prior two seasons (2023-24) as the University of Minnesota’s defensive line coach. DeLattiboudere added the title of assistant head coach in 2024.

DeLattiboudere overlapped with Michigan State defensive coordinator Joe Rossi during his time in Minneapolis. Minnesota increased its sack total from 19 in 2022 to 26 in 2023 and 28 in 2024.

DeLattiboudere received his first taste of NFL coaching as a two-time participant of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, which allowed him to work with the Green Bay Packers (2023) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2022) during training camp.

In 2024, DeLattiboudere, now 27, was selected to the American Football Coaches Association’s 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute, which aims to identify and develop premier future leaders in the coaching profession.

The Baltimore native spent the 2022 season as defensive line coach at Akron. He spent the 2021 season as a graduate assistant at Oregon, where he assisted in the development of future first round NFL Draft pick Kayvon Thibodeaux. He also helped develop DT Popo Aumavae and DE Brandon Dorius, both of whom were First Team All-Pac 12 selections.

DeLattiboudere spent the 2020 season as a graduate assistant at Charlotte. There, he mentored three All-Conference USA defensive linemen in DE Romeo McKnight, DE Tyriq Harris and DT Timmy Horne.

DeLattiboudere played defensive line at Minnesota from 2015-19. In 2019, he earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
