Michigan State signs 2025 three-star Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's TE Jayden Savoury

Michigan State signed 2025 three-star Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s tight end Jayden Savoury on Wednesday.
Savoury (6-6, 225) committed to Michigan State in June. Spartan tight ends coach Brian Wozniak prioritized Savoury upon his arrival in East Lansing late last November. He extended an offer to Savoury in January and proceeded to visit St. Mary’s High School several times during the winter and spring.
Savoury took an official visit to Michigan State in late May. He canceled his June visits to Wisconsin, Kansas and Purdue following his visit to East Lansing, and committed shortly thereafter. He also received offers from Penn State, Duke, Rutgers and Arizona State, among others.
Savoury is the No. 879 prospect, No. 49 tight end and No. 17 player from Michigan in the 2025 class, per the On3 Industry Rankings.

Savoury is Michigan State’s lone 2025 tight end commit. High school teammate Charles White, a three-star linebacker, will also sign with Michigan State on Wednesday. Three-star St. Mary’s ATH Bryson Williams, another Spartan commit, will hold off on signing until February.
Scouting summary
Savoury is a big-bodied, physical tight end who isn’t afraid to block. He’s a fluid pass-catcher with solid speed and an impressive catch radius. Savoury only started playing football as a junior, so he’s still learning the ins and outs of the game. Still, Wozniak feels like Savoury’s natural athleticism will translate well to the next level.
Savoury is a longtime basketball player and has starred on the hardwood for St. Mary’s over the last few years. He helped lead St. Mary’s to an MHSAA Division I basketball championship as a junior, and followed that up with an MHSAA Division I football championship as a senior.
