Michigan State signs 2026 three-star Delaware (Ohio) Olentangy Berlin DL Hudson Aultman
Michigan State signed 2026 three-star defensive tackle Hudson Aultman, of Delaware (Ohio) Olentangy Berlin High School, on Wednesday.
Aultman (6-4, 290) committed to Michigan State in early November. He was previously committed to Miami (Ohio), but flipped to the Spartans after an official visit to campus, which came during the November bye week. He took an unofficial visit to Michigan State for the Spartans’ victory over Youngstown State in September.
Aultman briefly re-opened his recruitment upon the firing of Jonathan Smith, but shut things back down after talking to newly-hired head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
“I just got off the phone with him and told him I’m signing Wednesday,” Aultman told SpartanMag on Monday. “He’ll be following up with my family and I shortly.”
Aultman is the No. 1,229 recruit in the 2026 class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 122 defensive lineman and No. 58 player from Ohio in his class. Aultman held additional offers from South Florida, Toledo, Western Michigan, Buffalo and Kent State.

Aultman is the lone defensive tackle expected to sign with the Spartans on Dec. 3. It remains to be seen if Fitzgerald and his staff plan to pursue more players at the position during the late signing period.
SCOUTING REPORT
Aultman projects as an interior defensive lineman, with some power and quickness to his 6-foot-4, 290-pound frame. He was a late-rising recruit who flew under the radar and was committed to Miami (Ohio) throughout the fall. Aultman played both offensive and defensive line in high school.
Aultman tallied 57 tackles (26 for a loss) with five sacks as a senior in 2025. He earned All-Ohio Cardinal Conference co-Defensive Player of the Year honors as a result. Aultman also plays basketball for Olentangy Berlin. He plans to enroll early at Michigan State next month.
