Michigan State to host 2024 QB Alessio Milivojevic on official visit

While on the road hitting the recruiting trail last week, Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith and offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren stopped in Naperville, Ill., offering three-star Ball State commit Alessio Milivojevic.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder has been committed to Ball State since early June, despite Power Five offers from Mississippi and Nebraska. Tulane, Marshall, Bowling Green, and others also offered. He will take an official visit to East Lansing on Dec. 15-17, he tells SpartanMag.com
“I just hope to check everything and all aspects out because I’ve never been there. Also, just continue to build a relationship with the staff,” Milivojevic said. “Having grown up in the Midwest and playing games in Michigan, also having played hockey all around Lansing, I know it is a good opportunity. I still have to learn more before making a decision.”
Milivojevic is currently rated a three-star and ranked the No. 1282 overall recruit in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings. He is also ranked the No. 26 recruit in Illinois.
During a strong senior season Milivojevic threw for 3,408 yards and 40 touchdowns, also rushing for 331 yards and nine additional touchdowns.

“It has all happened very quick” Milivojevic previously told SpartanMag.com about the contact with Michigan State coaches. “It’s been good to start a relationship with them and learn some new things about the staff and their plan.”
“I have been hearing from Coach Lindgren and (Coach) Smith. Coach Lindgren came to my school a couple days ago. From the talks we have had so far, and given the success he had at Oregon State, I think he’s a great coach. Also him being a former quarterback himself helps a lot.”
The Spartans also welcomed four-star Tyler Cherry for a visit this weekend (Dec. 9). Cherry is currently committed to Duke, as he has begun to open things up slightly, as Mike Elko took the head coaching job with Texas A&M earlier this off-season. The four-star also took an unofficial visit with Curt Cignetti and the new staff at Indiana earlier this week.
Michigan State would preferably add two high school quarterbacks in the class of 2024, as the Spartans look to rebuild the currently empty quarterback room.
