Michigan State availability report: Tre Mosley, Brandon Baldwin out

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State released its week 10 availability report early Saturday morning ahead of kickoff against Nebraska at noon. The Spartans will be without three starters on offense, including tight end Maliq Carr, wide receiver Tre Mosley and left tackle Brandon Baldwin. Carr will miss his second straight game for non-injury related reasons.
Depth at receiver should not be an issue for the Spartans despite Mosley not suiting up. Michigan State used seven wide receivers in last weekend’s defeat to Minnesota.
The Spartans will have a shortage of options to replace Baldwin at left tackle. Starting right tackle Spencer Brown could swap sides. Additionally, redshirt freshman Ashton Lepo played six snaps last weekend in a reserve role. Former backup left tackle Keyshawn Blackstock entered the transfer portal in October.
Noah Kim remains out for the second week in a row. The redshirt junior quarterback lost his starting role following the Spartans’ loss to Iowa in week five.
As part of new Big Ten policy, each conference team is required to release an availability report two hours prior to kickoff of every game. Teams list players as either “questionable” or “out.”
