Wolverine TV podcast: Harbaugh contract seems imminent, next step for current squad, more

TheWolverine.com‘s Chris Balas was the first to report last week that a new contract for Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh could be imminent, and that talk continued to pick up on Monday.
Harbaugh was asked about his contract during his Monday press conference and insinuated that he is ready for this “3.5-year thing” to come to a close.
“Yeah, I mean, like anybody — you want to be somewhere where you’re wanted and what they like what you do and how you do it,” Harbaugh said. “And then they tell you that, your boss is telling you that, and then that gets reflected in a contract.
“But yeah, bottom line any of us, right? I mean, that’s what we want to be somewhere where they like how you do it and what you do.”

John U. Bacon tweeted on Monday afternoon that the powers that be have made a Harbaugh contract a priority that makes him the highest-paid coach in the Big Ten, while athletic director Warde Manuel told The Detroit News that he hopes to make that a reality soon. In any setup, it feels like a new deal is imminent, and hopefully puts that saga to rest.
The Wolverine’s Anthony Broome and Clayton Sayfie discussed the contract situation on Monday night’s live show, as well as a look around college football and how Michigan stacks up in addition to taking fan questions.
