Michigan senior running back Blake Corum is just 1 touchdown run shy of matching Hart on the Wolverines’ all time record book with 41 career touchdown rushes.

“No more touchdowns for Blake,” Hart joked. “Excited for him.”

Michigan senior running back Kalel Mullings has broken out over the last two games.

“I think Kalel’s special,” Hart said. “I think he’s a special back. He’s big, he’s fast, he’s explosive, he’s got good vision, he’s got good hands, he can pass pro. He can do it all. He’s just been growing week by week, and you guys see it on the field — he’s fun to watch, and he runs hard.”

Meanwhile, Clinkscale discussed Michigan players playing through pain. Junior safety Rod Moore is getting back up to speed after missing the first three games with an injury, getting some game reps each of the last two weeks. There’s a fine line between being tough and wanting to recover.

“Each person is different,” Clinkscale noted. “What they can take mentally is really the biggest thing. It’s not so much the physical limitations. The trainers tell us what physically … now, it’s trying to get into their psyche on how I can push them or maybe not pushing them. Or maybe they think I’m not pushing them and I’m really trying to give them some encouragement. Each player is different. Rod is a tough guy, so he’s going to go out there and do as much has he can. So if he feels like he can’t go anymore, he knows that I’ll see that before he makes that determination. But he’s been battling through, he’s been taking care of his body.”

Michigan takes on Minnesota for a night game this weekend in Minneapolis. The Wolverines are 10-0 all time against the Golden Gophers in primetime. The Maize and Blue are undefeated at 5-0 and ranked No. 2 in the country.
