Tweets Of The Day

Pro Football Focus College posted some stats on new Michigan linebacker Jaishawn Barham, a transfer from Maryland who joined the U-M team in January and will participate in spring practices. Over two seasons in College Park, Barham posted a 76.7 overall PFF grade, made 52 defensive stops, registered 38 quarterback pressures and had an 18-percent win rate.

Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy threw for over 300 yards with 4 touchdowns and a 91.8 overall PFF grade in a 49-0 win over Michigan State this past October.

Michigan safety Keon Sabb entered the NCAA transfer portal last Friday and already enrolled at Alabama — his new school — by Monday. The Wolverines still have top notch safety play, though, led by senior Rod Moore.

Michigan will honor its seniors this weekend for the last home series of the season, with Notre Dame coming to town for a two-game set (Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23-24).

Michigan baseball started the season with a four-game series against WMU. The Wolverines are 2-2, losing the first two contests (14-11 in 11 innings and 11-9 in 10 innings) and winning the next pair (9-4 and 6-2).

Quote Of The Day

“He’s going to give the energy. He’s going to be excited, and he’s going to be motivated. Those things carry over because it was the same way with me when I took over this program. I had to change the coaching staff real quick, but that energy that I had of excitement carried over not only to me, but to the staff and to the players. Doing all of those things is what motivates you. So, I’m pretty sure he gets up every morning early. I bet you he gets up early and excited about going to work. Looking around and realizing this is yours.”
